Hi! I am Chenxi Ruan, a Year 1 PhD student in Data Science and Analytics Thrust at the Information hub, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), supervised by Prof. Wei Zeng and Prof. Zishuo Ding. I received my B.Eng degree in Software Engineering and Business Administration in South China University of Technology in 2025 supervised by Prof. Zikun Deng.

My research interests focus on multimodal large language models, with an emphasis on visualization and interpretability for understanding cross-modal semantic alignment. I am currently conducting research on evaluating multimodal large language models’ understanding of color–concept associations.
